The complimentary color to yellow is purple. However, I wouldn't go too dark... smoky eyes probably won't look good with a light color dress. Instead, opt for a lighter purple look...
Start with a shimmery, light, almost white purple for the entire lid, brow bone to lash line. Victoria's Secret sells an eye shadow quad called Mosaic Eye Shadow in a set called "Urgency." Using the lightest color in it, the color at the top left, shade the entire lid. This will highlight and open your eyes.
Then with a slightly darker color, the color in the lower left, just below the first color you used, shade the crease of your eye. There should be enough space in between the crease and lash line to still show the base color. Make sure your application of the color is light; you don't want to over do it.
Then, with a color somewhat in the middle of the spectrum, the color in the lower right, shade about half of the lower lid in between the crease and the lash line. Start from you tear duct and sweep up and away, very lightly. The dark shadow in the crease draws attention to your eyes; however, because it is a dark color, it also closes it slightly. The light shadow in the tear duct area opens it up again, while still drawing attention to it.
This should be light enough to ensure it doesn't clash with the color of the dress. But if it appears too light, use the last color in VS's Mosaic Eye Shadow, the one on the top right. Using a small, but loosely bristled brush, sweep it on top of the dark crease shadow, half on the shadow, half directly above it so that you can see it's color clearly, but also so that it blends into the color below it. There should still be an area between the eyebrow and the last color, an area that is the base color. This will darken up your eyes a bit, if need be, but remember: NOT TOO DARK!!!
A yellow dress will go nicely with purple eye shadow, but you don't want it to be too dark, otherwise it will overwhelm the dress.
Next, using VS's Very Sexy Eyeliner in Exotic Plum, line both the top and bottom lash line. Make sure it is a semi-thin line, though... you don't want to have rings around your eyes. Then, using the other end of the eye liner pencil, the end with a smudger, slightly smudge the eyeliner so it doesn't look too harsh. Finish off by using a small brush (an eyeliner brush will work, but you want something that isn't as tightly packed... something small, but that can define shadow... M閳ヮ敡閳ヮ敥's 219 brush is perfect for this) take a small amount of the dark crease shadow and lightly brush it along your top and bottom lash line, right over the eye liner, and make sure it meets the crease color at the outer corner of your eye. This will make the shadow and eyeliner tie together and look slightly smokey eyed without over doing it.
Finally, sweep on a couple of coats of a good mascara. My favorite is M閳ヮ敡閳ヮ敥's Loud Lash in Noisy Black. It is mascara that you can build on without getting that clumpy look.
As far as the rest of your make-up, a good pinkish brown (and very light) for blush will do perfectly, complimenting your eyes without drawing attention away from it. For the lips, I recommend to line and fill your lips with M閳ヮ敡閳ヮ敥's lip liner in Whirl. Then their lipstick in Viva Glam V. Blot lightly and then apply M閳ヮ敡閳ヮ敥's LipGlass LustreGlass in Pinkarat.
Hope this helps!

I always think a golden bronze, with some shine to it, would look awesome with your eyes and your dress. Just make sure to tone it down with a more neutral color like a matte tan or brown.
