With regard to the dress, it depends on you age and figure. Wear a bright one, as it is a happy occasion afterall. Hair could be done in several ways, but curly always looks pretty. Shoes- high heeled. but not TOO high.

Hmm thats hard lol, cos we dont no what sort of person you are, your age, your skin tone, hair colour on anything!! haha but i will go on my ow personal tastes for my prom in a few months =] I wouldnt go for a huuge meringue type bottom because it is just tooo over the top (at our school anyway) and if you have a strapless dress i think down and curled by a hairdresser in like ringlets, or if its busy at the top of the dress go for an updo hairstyle! Ohh and shoes, heels are great for prom but not tooo high because you want to be able to walk and dance with looking stupid! hehe well i hope this helps, its a bit random because of the very little info u gave us =P x

What should I wear for the prom??

Look as elegant as you can (or afford to).

Dress should be to the floor (no beach party above knees type of dresses; wrong occassion). Dark subtle colours usually work in an evening prom. e.g. dark purple, red, blue, green (experiment to see which colours suit you the most). Avoid, black (not a goth event), white (scares the guys). Have a matching cloth that you can flow around your arms and your back.

Hair should not be moulded into a tower unless you feel like wearing a dunce hat - let it down on bundle it up. Usually hair that is let down is gorgeous. It sometimes help if you add a bit of 'umph' in the hair so it doesn't look comepletly flat. Avoid having hair looking like Vesper's in Casino Royale when she was in the casino - waves are good but you will have to make them more wavey to look good (short hair won't do; if short hair, make it straightish but curls towards the neck) and don't get me started with the art piece when she was in the casino the second time.

Shoes would be elegant laces which doesn't make you look like you're wearing platform boots (wrong year) and make you look like a ballerina (wrong event). No dorothy slippers please (no heals), we're not expecting anyone to be whisked off to the land of Oz anytime soon. You need something in the middle with laces (those without laces can look like work shoes if you pick the wrong type). Make sure the shoes matches the dress (colour, texture and patterns).

I had my prom last year so i understand how your feeling!!!

When it came to getting my dress i looked in loooads of shops and tried on every dress i liked until i found the perfect one!

Hair curly for your prom! curl it with curling tongs and leave it down! this way it makes it look specail! Another good prom look it having your hair half up and half down with a sparkly clip!

For shoes its good to have some kind of heel to dress your self up but i wouldnt go too high. on my prom my shoes were too high and my feet were killing by the end of the night! lolx!

I think you should wear a dress- that's a rich or light colour, and that's about knee high. And get your hair curled (abit) with a nice lovely bracelet!
