I am trying to do a french twist for prom but i don't know how. i need step by step instruction

I have medium length hair with a lot of layers and bags. my hair is not thick nor thin, it is average on thickness.

Although this is just another opinon, ignore all those girls telling you to have it done professionally. You can do it yourself, just allow time to practice, and try it several tmes before the big night.

French twists are very simple once you've learned, but with layers it can be a little tricky to get them all to fit in. You may "cheat" and pin in pieces that don't fit into the twist, or just curl them and let them hang for a softer look.

I got one done at the salon one time and this is how they did it. First they brushed all my hair to one side and put a row of bobby pins down the middle of my head(just in back)to hold the hair over. Then they had a tube of foam that they took the rest of my hair and rolled it up in towards the bobby pins then secured it with more pins. So if you push your hair to the right roll it to the left. Plus lots of hair spray and it probably will hold better if you don't wash your hair for a day. Slightly dirty hair holds better, its not so slick and wont fall. hope that helps
